The client of this design project is CJ Foods, the leading food company in Korea. Ever since it was founded in 1953, the company has been focused on providing customers with vitality, happiness, and convenience in all aspects of their lives.
The brand has garnered world-class trust from its customers and now has a branch located in Shanghai. For this project, the design brief is straightforward - to create a simple and practical office space for the company.
Most of the white design patterns can be seen in the kitchen display area. Wood is a very visual element and creates a comfortable experience while weakening the boundaries of the space. The warm design and layout work together to create a simple yet elegant office environment.
The tea room feels not unlike a family kitchen thanks to the layout. It reflects a human-centric design that not only satisfies the practical function of a dining area but increases the sense of community among employees and also does not disturb the quieter atmosphere of the office area.
Though the layout is square and practical in shape, the design elements lend the space a casual atmosphere where the staff feels comfortable enough to stretch while working and allow both mind and body to be in harmony.
The meeting rooms are partitioned with glass, carpeted with an energizing mix of grey and blue, and all resemble a small box. This design encourages employees to interact effectively and communicate often, as all impromptu meetings and negotiations can be easily carried out in any of the many meeting rooms available.
