Electrolux is an international Swedish company specializing in manufacturing home appliances. EDS Interior designed this office space for the company, using the unity among materials, colors, lights, and structures to create a place where people can feel alive at work.

The dominant element used in the first floor, particularly the front desk, is brightness and warm colors. The circular shape, combined with the lighting is supposed to evoke the image of an abstract sun, lending the office a casual and creative atmosphere.

The personal day-to-day experience of employees was taken into consideration when creating the layout of the open office. Placing the area close to the windows allows minimal contact with the office entrance and ensures the privacy of those who are working. At the same time, it introduces daylight into the room promotes good ventilation.

The designer set up a loft mezzanine in the middle of the entire office, which seems to cut the area’s vertical space into pieces. This is done in order to maximize the use of space. Linear wooden handrails merge the upper and lower spaces, forming a large central break area, which becomes the nexus of the entire workplace. There is also a stepped resting area that encourages people to move and interact more.

The mezzanine office area aisle uses slender lines and appropriately bright lighting as the main design element to create transparency within the space.

The conference area has a deep sense of depth against the white background, maximizing the introduction of natural light so that there is a kind of spatial independence and cohesion in the room.

The round structure of the negotiation area gives people a sense of ease, compared to a more angular space. The glass curtain wall is used instead of an opaque wall to make the room transparent and open. The effect is that the room feels uplifting and elegant.

The design of the pantry and display area mimics the feel of a modern apartment. The designer used warm wood, gray tones, and Nordic-style lamps to create a comfortable and modern atmosphere. The embellishment of green plants adds warmth to the office, and employees can sit down and drink coffee with the company’s clients.

A coffee area has been created for the employees in order to give them a space to recharge. They can refresh themselves in this casual space with a snack and beverage, or catch up on their reading while relaxing on a cushy brightly-colored bean bag.

There is no part of the space in the area that is wasted. Some spaces have been set apart and given added value. For example, each floor has a private discussion space, suitable for small-scale discussions or calls, and each one is equipped with a wall-mounted folding table, allowing employees to choose a space that suits their current task.
