EDS spearheaded the design project of 21 Bread. 21 Bread takes freshness, health, and deliciousness as the focus of their business. They aim to provide customers with safe and reliable products. The designer takes us through the project details as the concept comes to life.
Nature’s products such as wheat, water, and fire are all essential to Bread 21’s line of business. Thanks to human expertise and creativity, form and taste evolved for thousands of years. People have created aromas and flavors, produced bread and wine, and enhanced ancient and modern nutrition. This dietary philosophy is the starting point for inspiring architectural ideas. The innovative approach resulted in complex minimalism.
The project has contrasting materials and colors: oak and Corian to reflect tradition and innovation, a combination of nature and craftsmanship. The juxtaposition of soft oak and black creates an exclusive and dramatic environment in terms of various materials, in which the warmth of the natural texture is enhanced by contrast with its smooth black surface.
The ceiling’s soft curves are made from curved slats. The fluid shape is emphasized in the roof and is one of the most important parts of the setting. The shape and size of its natural oak wood planks evoke traditional breadbaskets that are interweaving. The corrugated shape extends from top to bottom, and naturally attracts the buyer's sight from the ceiling to the bread products. This design brings beautiful visuals and perfectly displays the products to achieve a better consumption experience.
