Whirlpool Corporation has operations in more than 40 countries and regions around the world, providing manufacturing and marketing services of various home appliances. This 1,100 square meter office space was completed by Shanghai interior design company EDS.
The overall space is simple, bright and comfortable. The designer used a particularly high amount of lighting, striving to create an energetic and efficient area where people can easily work and communicate.
Upon entering the lobby, one is greeted by the distinctive logo of the company. This logo is set against a white latex paint wall, providing a fresh and natural contrast. In addition to this, the neat lines within the space guide the eye and provide a definition of the visual experience.
The open office is adjacent to the leisure area. A transparent glass curtain wall makes the outdoor landscape a visual centerpiece, and encourages employees to socialize, brainstorm, enjoy their breaks and come back to work with a mind fresh with new ideas.
The open-plan kitchen features an I-type design. It has a bar counter, refrigerator, microwave oven, among other kitchen essentials. The cabinet provides a large storage space without standing out. The marble used in the bar counter gives the room character and adds visual flair to a warm and casual space. Employees can cook food in this stylish space and feel at home in their workplace.
